Sheryl Crow to Fight for Wild Horses

The Grammy-award winning singer asks others to help save horses.

Crow's new documentary, "Saving the American Wild Horse," advocates for the preservation of these special animals, according to AP. The documentary, directed by James Kleinert and narrated by Peter Coyote, explores the policies on wild horses who occupy public land. In addition, the documentary features interviews with environmentalists, animal rights activists and ranchers. Actor Viggo Mortensen is also featured.

The news agency quotes Crow as saying, "I think it will be a real shame when we look back and we don't have these incredible species, and I guess my best hope would be that people, individuals, step up at this point and really protect these animals."

"Saving the American Wild Horse" airs 9 p.m. EST on the Documentary Channel, according to AP.
