Shia LaBeouf Working Toward a Full Recovery
In July of this year, Shia LaBeouf was at the intersection of LaBrea and Fountain in Hollywood. Things were fairly uneventful until another driver ran a red light and drove right into LaBeouf's truck, causing it to flip over. LaBeouf was immediately taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he had hand surgery. Yet, regardless of the surgery, the hand is still bandaged and worse than reported. To add to all that, Shia was arrested for suspicion of DUI that same night.
Fortunately for Transformers' sequel, the film he was currently shooting, Shia says that very little of the production was interrupted due to his accident. Shia has many positive things to say about Transformers director Michael Bay, "He plows through. I think we had a day down, two days down, and then we got back to some second unit stuff that we had to get anyways, and I was back two or three weeks before anybody projected me coming back."
Not too bad for one who experienced what Shia did, and as he reports, "I'm working right now." In fact, at an event intended to promote Eagle Eye, the film he is promoting now, he discussed how the film he is shooting is dealing with his injury, "We propped [my hand] together so I could get through Transformers and then I'll go have another surgery and be back to 100 percent."
