Short Girls Can Be Models, Too!
What's so special about cycle 13 of "America's Next Top Model"? The reality show will focus specifically on "petite" models for the first time in its six-year history.
All fourteen contestants will be 5-foot-7 or shorter. Previous rules required all models to be 5-foot-7 or taller.
Interestingly enough, the average U.S. female is only 5-foot-4.
Another alteration to the show will be the addition of guest judges. Although Janice Dickinson and Paulina Porizkova have since said good-bye to their former seats on the judges' panel, reality television stars Kim Kardashian and Lauren Conrad will be joining the regular panel of Tyra Banks, Nigel Barker and J. Alexander this season.
So will less model equal less drama for the popular reality show this season? Let's sure hope not. The two-hour premiere of "America's Next Top Model" will air Wednesday the 9th, at 8 p.m., on the CW.
