Simon Cowell no longer with alleged fiance Mezghan Husseiny

Following news that Heidi Klum and Seal are divorcing, Simon Cowell has some break-up news of his own.

The New York Daily News reported Cowell has split from his girlfriend, and rumored fiancé, Mezghan Husseiny.

The makeup artist and X Factor judge had been dating for two years, and were last seen together before Christmas.

And according to E! Online, a reconciliation isn’t completely out of the question.

The 52-year-old told UK’s Daily Mail that they are still on very good terms.

"It is quite a complicated relationship. We have had a break from each other, and we are still incredibly close,” he said.

Back in 2010, he called Husseiny “the one” on a British talk show and suggested that he had popped the question. She was also soon afterwards photographed with a ring on her finger.

But it seems that’s a moment in life he regrets.

"I have been pretty good about not talking about my private stuff, but I got caught up in the moment," Cowell told the British paper. "I don't really know where I am at the moment, and that is why I don't talk about it."

He however was willing to talk about his feelings post-split.

"I'm vulnerable," he said. "It's not on, it's not off, it's somewhere in the middle. I don't know if I will ever get married, but I am happy."

Let’s hope the next relationship he’s in is forever.
