Singer LeAnn Rimes Confirms her divorce on her Web site

Nashville star, LeAnn Rimes, ends her seven year marriage to actor, Dean Sheremet.

The 27-year-old singer officially announced her divorce on Tuesday via her web site, stating to her fans, "After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Dean and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage…This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another."

According to People Magazine, Rimes was under the radar a few months back after allegedly having an affair with her co-star Eddie Cibrian, while filming the Lifetime movie, "Northern Lights," which lead to her and her husband separating in July of this year.

Last week Cibrian, 36, filed divorce from his wife, Brandi Glanville, ending their eight-year marriage. They have two children together.

Rimes first met Sheremet when he was her back up dancer. In 2002, the young couple got married.

Rimes is currently dating Cibrian.
