Singer to Quit Smoking

Amy Winehouse will try to quit smoking to save her voice.

Amy Winehouse's father confirmed that the talented and troubled singer will attempt to quit smoking, according to Daily News.

After collapsing last week, Winehouse was taken to a London hospital where she was diagnosed with emphysema. Because of smoking and alleged drug use, Winehouse's revered vocals are in jeopardy.

Daily News quotes Winehouse's father, Mitch, as saying, "She's covered in nicotine patches. The only thing that can go into her lungs are fresh air. She faces a stark choice - either she sticks to it or she won't sing again. The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs, it won't just ruin her voice, it will kill her."
