Slumdog Millionaire is again a runaway favourite, this time to land the Best Film Award at Sunday night's Bafta Awards Ceremony reports The Telegraph. Bookmakers have been besieged with bets for the rags to riches tale set in India taking the top prize.
The only other nominee considered to stand a greater chance of winning a Bafta is the late Heath Ledger, whose performance in "The Dark Knight" is 1-25 to win Best Supporting Actor.
The Telegraph also reports that Kate Winslet, who has already seen great success at the Golden Globes for her roles in "Revolutionary Road" and "The Reader", is the favourite to win the Leading Actress category.
A host of big names are set to grace the red carpet at the ceremony including Penelope Cruz, Kristen Scott Thomas, and Brad Pitt.
Many in the industry now see the Baftas as a reliable guide to what will win at the Oscars, which are being held later this month. The Bafta's ceremony will take place on Sunday in London.
