Smallville Will Continue Without Its Creators

Smallville and its creators will part ways after this season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the CW show, Smallville, is going to continue next year, even though the show's two creators, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, have announced that they are leaving the show.

The two creators sent an open letter to the media that stated, "We look back at 152 episodes. We look back knowing that the show will continue into season 8 without us. After much heartache and debate, we have decided it is time for us to move on."

Smallville is the CW's longest running show and garners its best ratings (even though they aren't picking up any winning hours). It revolves around a young Superman and his trials and tribulations as he learns to deal with his powers. The CW is still planning on an 8th season, without the creators. Maybe the network doesn't remember how Gilmore Girls sank after it lost its creators, and at least that was a good show to begin with.
