Smile The Movie

A movie with a message that will probably make quite a difference.

Coming out April 22nd, Smile, starring Mika Boorem ("Blue Crush") and Luoyong Wang ("Miss Saigon") is a cross between a feature film and a documentary. It has the message of a documentary but the production of a feature film. The movie stars the likes of Beau Bridges, Sean Astin, Cheri Oteri, Linda Hamilton and more. The other good news is that the film gets across the message of Operation Smile and helping children with correctable facial deformities.

Overall, the movie has a great and powerful message, but at times it comes across a bit like an after school special. That slight degree of criticism though is completely overshadowed by the powerful work that this movie reflects. Clearly, a movie that gets so many stars together to put in towards a good cause is worth seeing.
