Smith's pathologist rules out possibilities

Daniel Smith's death is still undetermined but pathologist believes the cause is near.

Cyril Wecht, 75, was the pathologist that was hired by Anna Nichole Smith to give a second autopsy to her late son, Daniel, who died last week at the Bahamas after his mother gave birth to his sister.

The results of the tissue tests won't be ready for a few days and the toxicology results will not be in for at least two weeks, so the cause of death is unknown until then. However, Wecht did release some information about Daniel. He was on anti-depressants at the time of his death, but only on a low dosage. Wecht doesn't believe this was a suicide.

Wecht has also ruled out the possibilities of heart disease, cancer, systemic infection or a pulmonary embolism for the cause of Daniel's death. He does believe however, Daniel's death was "tragic," and nothing forced on by himself.

Daniel's body has been released to the Butler's Funeral Home in Nassau to the Smith family.
