Smoke Filled Britney Spears's and Fans' Lungs

On April 8, 2009, Vancouver fans had to wait 30 minutes for Spears to return to the stage. Spears had performed three songs, but abruptly walked offstage with no reason. Before Spears came back on, an announcer said: "The building is awfully smoky. It's become uncomfortable and unsafe for the performers and Ms. Spears."

Although the cause of the smoke is unclear, it is pointed towards both marijuana and cigarette smoking.

It makes you wonder, why are people smoking at a Britney Spears concert? If Sublime were playing, would it be any different?

Spears came back on after some of the smoke subsided and ended the show on this note: "Don't smoke weed! Rock out with you c---- out! Peace, motherf-----s!"

Although this show doesn't seem very appealing for the younger crowd, many people enjoyed the show regardless of the delay.

A representative of the venue has said that the smoke most likely was due to cigarette smoke. But smoking indoors is both illegal in the United States and Canada.
