Hoboken won’t have them, so Jersey City it is for Jersey Shore’s Snooki and JWoww while they film their spin-off show.
Producers of their show have been granted a permit to film in the second largest city in New Jersey, particular in the Grove Street Path neighborhood.
CBS News reports that filming will begin later this month, showing the duo without the rest of their Jersey Shore cast-mates and on their own in Jersey City.
While Hoboken cited concern for the quality of life for the public and put the safety of their citizens over allowing the show to film there, Jersey City mayor Jerramiah Healy thinks featuring Snooki and JWoww in the city will help promote it.
Also, Access Hollywood reports that Jersey City spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill has said there will be a few guidelines for the self-proclaimed guidettes to film there.
The production company is required to hire police for security reasons, and the cast and crew must abide by all laws.
In a joint interview with The Huffington Post, JWoww said that the spin-off show will “show the different sides of us that people haven't seen” such as “the relationship between [Snooki and me], our boyfriends, our families, our friends -- and also traveling and just experiencing life. We're able to just wake up and decide we want to go to Mexico.”
Snooki chimes in “We would rather just hang out with each other,” rather than the whole Jersey Shore cast.
