Snoop Dogg Arrested
Rapper is arrested on gun and drug charges.
Snoop Dogg was arrested on illegal drug and gun possession at a southern California airport on Thursday.
The rapper was arrested at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday at the Bob Hope Airport in California, according to the Associated Press. He posted $35,000 bail, but is scheduled to appear again in court on Dec. 12.
An officer stopped Snoop Dogg in the loading zone for a vehicle infraction and when police searched his car they found marijuana and a gun, the AP reported.
"There was no basis for this arrest," the rapper's attorney, Donald Etra, said in a statement, according to the AP. "We believe that once this is cleared up, all charges will be dismissed."
