Snow Patrol Will Release "iPhone Album"

Snow Patrol is set to be the first musical act to release an album with an interactive application for both the iPod Touch and iPhone.

Their new record, A Hundred Million Suns, will be released this fall and will be the first to use the multimedia capacities of the iPhone, according to Music Week.

What this means is that fans will be able to download this application onto their iPhone (and with their iPhone) in order to access bonus content. Such content includes extra photos, artwork, behind-the-scenes images (with the band, obviously) and lyrics solely with their iPhone.

"It will be an interactive element; a digital booklet that wil take you into the videos and content," Snow Patrol manager Liz Goodwin told the publication. "For fans it will be a real must-have, and the fact that they are the first band to do this gives us an additional angle for exposure."
