Relatively Media’s untitled Snow White movie starring Lily Collins in the lead role finally has a name.
CBS News reports the Tarsem Singh-directed film, starring Collins as the exile princess who enlists the help of seven dwarfs to overthrow the Evil Queen, played by Julia Roberts, has been titled Mirror Mirror.
Collins, best known for her roles in The Blind Side and Abduction and as the daughter of singer Phil Collins, will join Roberts, Armie Hammer, Sean Bean, and Nathan Lane in the recreation of the fairy tale set to hit theaters next year on March 16.
This is not the only remake of Snow White to be released in 2012.
Almost three months later, on June 1, Universal Pictures will unveil Snow White and the Huntsman starring Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth in the title roles, with Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen.
Despite both films depicting the same fairy tale from the Brothers Grimm, the studios insist they will each offer a distinct perspective. According to Collider, Snow White and the Huntsman is a dark version of the story, while Mirror Mirror is more lighthearted.
