Soccer Sensation Landon Donovan Files for Divorce

Landon Donovan and his actress wife Bianca Kajlich have been separated for a year, but Donovan is now taking the steps to officially end his marriage. The Team USA World Cup soccer player filed for divorce on Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences.

According to CNN, the pair released a joint statement, saying, "We remain the closest of friends and will always be important parts of each other's lives."

The two married on New Year's Eve in 2006. Although the pair had separated in October 2009, reports surfaced a year later claiming that the two were possibly reconciling with each other. But, in another turn of events, Donovan faced rumors of having a love child with a British woman. The rumors were untrue, but that didn't help the marriage.

Kajlich appeared in films such as 10 Things I Hate About You, Rules of Engagement, and Bring It On. She is currently in Rules of Engagement.

Donovan is seeking spousal support and attorney fees.
