Solange Knowles Hospitalized, Talks About It Online

Solange lets the world know what's going on through her Twitter page.

According to MTV News, singer Solange Knowles was hospitalized after she collapsed at the airport as she headed home from Fashion Week. The singer, who is Beyonce's younger sister, was treated for dehydration and low blood sugar.

Soon after her release from the hospital, Knowles broke the news about her fall on the Web site, Twitter, Wednesday afternoon.

"Woke up to 8 random people over me, laid out on the floor in baggage claim!" Knowles wrote. "Guess I passed out! Scary. Hooked up to IV now. Apparently I'm super dehydrated."

The singer began to feel sick after taking some cough medicine, which she also described on her Twitter page, saying, "I took a Nyquil, and I think maybe I'm getting high off it because I'm not sleeping. Everything's movvvvviinnngg slooooowww, LOL."

Knowles's mother, Tina, stopped by to visit her youngest daughter during her hospital stay.

"My mom is the best. LOL," Knowles wrote. "She's like, Ain't nothing wrong with this girl. She need some water and rest . . . pull up the car! LOL."

Her representative released the following statement on behalf of the singer: "Solange was treated for dehydration following a flight from New York to L.A. She is fine and resting at home. She will launch her tour on Sunday, February 22, as planned."
