In what seems like a last-minute attempt to gain an audience, Sony Pictures Television is offering all nine episodes of their ABC drama Pan Am for free on iTunes.

Sony made the announcement Tuesday, adding that the episodes will be available to download through Jan. 5. In the announcement, Chris Van Amburg, senior vice president of U.S. marketing for Sony Pictures Television, admitted that they hope it will generate more viewers, allowing people who missed those episodes to catch up. "We're confident that this promotion will generate enthusiasm for the show's January 8th return on ABC,” Van Amburg said.

In addition, episodes will be available on Amazon, CinemaNow, Vudu, Sony Video Unlimited and at the Playstation Store, according to Deadline.

Sony also announced that a soundtrack titled PAN AM: Music From and Inspired By the Original Series will also be available for download, with two tracks being available for free.

Pan Am stars Margot Robbie and Christina Ricci and centers on four stewardesses traveling the world during the 1960s. The Los Angeles Times notes that the series has been met with mixed responses from critics, although it has performed better than NBC’s 1960s-set series, The Playboy Club, which was canceled after just three episodes.

ABC has ordered 14 episodes of the show, reports Deadline. The network has not decided if it will order a second season and has said that it won’t decide until March. Once the show’s episodes have finished airing, ABC will replace it with a new drama called GCB.

Pan Am returns from its hiatus on Jan. 8.
