Jersey Shore star Mike Sorrentino has issued a cease and desist order against clothing giant Abercrombie & Fitch, regarding printing T-shirts with his slogans.
"We doubt that you could provide a valid reason why you used these specific designs, except to create a (false) association with our client's goodwill," a letter from Sorrentino’s lawyers to A&F stated.
Three weeks earlier, the clothier released a statement asking Sorrentino to not wear their brand on TV. The corporation has since offered to pay him to stop sporting their brand in public.
"We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorentino's association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image," the company said in a statement.
Sorrentino’s lawyers, though, are accusing A&F of having it both ways by telling him what not to wear, but still marketing shirts with his labels.
The company has yet to comment, but Sorrentino’s lawyers are giving them until Tuesday to respond.
