Sorry Ladies: Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Are Together After All

It's every girl's worst vampire nightmare. Robert Pattinson just announced that he and Kristen Stewart are, in fact, an item.

The Twilight costars have been together as part of a rumored relationship for some time but have kept the matter a secret to avoid media attention, reports the Sun.

Pattinson and Stewart's enigmatic relationship status has kept fans gaga over the undead heartthrob since Twilight's release in 2008. Pattinson played along with the secret throughout the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards show on Sunday. The two even showed up individually and did not sit together at the Royal Opera House. Then, at the post-show dinner, he admitted they were a couple.

"We can't arrive at the same time because of the fans," Pattinson said. "It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it's impossible. We are here together and it's a public event but it's not easy."

The pair will rekindle their onscreen romance in July with the next episode in the Twilight saga, Eclipse.
