Soulja Boy, Drake, Jeezy, Wayne Set to Headline Summer Tour
Rumors have been circulating that rappers Soulja Boy, Drake, Young Jeezy and Lil' Wayne may headline an upcoming tour, according to MTV.
Representatives of both Soulja Boy and Young Jeezy have said a collaboration of the four artists is likely to be scheduled. Soulja Boy announced the tour on Twitter on June 4. "TSA (Twitter Service Announcement) I'm going on Tour with Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy & Drake this summer! Get ya tickets ASAP!!!!" he Tweeted.
Jay-Z was previously expected to join Drake, Young Jeezy and Lil' Wayne, but he will instead perform on a summer tour with Ciara as an opening act that is set to begin on July 3 in Las Vegas. Soulja Boy is expected to take his place.
Drake, Wayne's rising protege, has been writing lyrics for Rihanna's next album and working on his debut album. Wayne recently said his highly anticipated Rebirth album is complete, slated for an Aug. 18 release. He also recently finished his I Am Music Tour with T-Pain, Gym Class Heroes, Gorilla Zoe, Keyshia Cole and others.
Soulja Boy and Young Jeezy have both been recording in their studios.
No tour dates have been announced as of yet.
