Sources Say Beyonce and Jay-Z Are Married

Although it has not been officially confirmed, sources close to the couple say that Beyonce and Jay-Z did get married.

According to People, singer Beyonce Knowles and rapper Jay-Z tied the knot on Friday.

Although the couple's wedding has not been officially confirmed, a source close to the alleged newlyweds told People, "It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair - close friends and family."

The couple planned an extravagant wedding party Friday evening at the Tribeca building where Jay-Z owns a penthouse. Guests included Beyonce's parents Mathew and Tina Knowles, her sister Solange, Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and their friends Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

Jay-Z, 38, and Knowles, 26, hired one of Jay-Z's favorite DJ's to spin for the special occasion, DJ Cassidy, according to People. A close friend of the DJ said, "Cassidy mentioned a week ago that he was really excited for the Jay-Z and Beyonce's wedding party to happen."

Suspicions of wedding bells surfaced when the couple went to get a wedding license at village hall in Scarsdale, New York on Tuesday.
