Spears Checks into Rehab

Pop princess Britney Spears has capped off a weekend-long downhill spiral by checking into rehab. At the urging of her family and friends, Spears has voluntarily entered rehab at an undisclosed location. On Friday, it was rumored that the singer had checked into rehab on the island of Antigua, but stayed only one day. That same day, Spears appeared at a Los Angeles hair salon, asking the stylist to shave her head. When the stylist refused, Spears took matters into her own hands. Then, she made another stop to get tattooed at a tattoo parlor.

The pop star's two-year marriage to Kevin Federline ended in November, and throughout December, she was seen partying with socialite Paris Hilton. Rumors have abounded that the singer's incessant partying and other risky behaviors will end in her losing custody of her two sons.

This latest head-shaving incident has generated wild speculations and rumors that the singer is on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
