Spears Plans to Tour Again
Singer Britney Spears said she plans to tour internationally for the first time since 2004 to promote her highly anticipated new album, Circus, according to Reuters.
On Monday, Spears interviewed with New York radio station Z100, where she was asked if she planned to tour again.
"Oh definitely, next year," she said. Spears added that the tour would probably take the pop star "around the world."
Spears has not toured internationally since 2004, taking time off for her marriage to backup dancer Kevin Federline and the birth of their two sons, Jayden and Sean Preston.
The singer performed at a few small venues in Southern California in 2007 to promote her album, Blackout, which many fans hoped would be Spears's comeback album. Spears did not go on a tour for the album and its hype was short-lived.
The first single from Circus, entitled "Womanizer," was released Friday. The album will be released on Dec. 2, the singer's 27th birthday. Spears told Z100 that she spent six months working on the album.
