The Spice Girls are Back!
Six years after breaking up the Spice Girls announced yesterday that they will embark on a reunion tour.
Ginger, Sporty, Posh, Scary, and Baby Spice appeared for a photo call at the Royal Observatory in London--the first time all five original members have appeared together in public since Ginger left the group nine years ago.
The 11-date tour will start in December. The group will make stops in Las Vegas, New York, London, Cologne, Madrid, Beijing, Hong Kong, Sydney, Cape Town, and Buenos Aires.
According to Gerri Halliwell the tour will be a one-time outing, billing it as a "goodbye" to their fans. The tour also coincides with the release of a greatest hits album.
The Spice Girls have sold 55 million albums since their first single, "Wannabe," came out in 1996. Gerri Halliwell left the group in 1998, four years after the band was founded, and the group disbanded after releasing an album in 2000.
