Spice Girls Mel C Announces Pregnancy

Motherhood is the next tune that singer Melanie Chisholm will be singing in the near future.

The Press Association reports that the singer and Thomas Starr, her partner of six years, are expecting their first child.

Chisholm, who is better known as Mel C of The Spice Girls, will be following the footsteps of her other famed bandmates, becoming the last member to enter mommy hood. The singer made the public aware of the good news via her personal Web site online.

The Spice Girls completed their successful "The Return of the Spice Girls" reunion tour, and released a worldwide top selling Greatest Hits album earlier this year.
