Spiedi is Done: Heidi Montag Officially Files for Divorce from Spencer Pratt

America’s least favorite attention-whoring couple has officially called it quits. Although Heidi Montag, who starred in MTV’s The Hills through the midway stages of season six, filed for legal separation from Spencer Pratt last month, her attorney has confirmed that she has officially filed for divorce, according to Access Hollywood.

“Heidi has amended her petition for separation and today has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage from Spencer Pratt,” Montag’s attorney, Jodeane Farrell, said on Friday. “The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalized in a timely manner in and out of court settlement. Both parties are amicable with each other and over the possibility of finalizing their divorce.”

Neither Heidi nor Spencer commented on the divorce on their respective Twitter pages, but Farrell has stated that her client cited irreconcilable differences as the reasoning behind their legal separation. They tied the knot in April 2009 during a lavish ceremony that was filmed for MTV’s The Hills, but the F-list celebrities began drifting away earlier this year.

Earlier this week, MTV reported that Montag would no longer be co-starring alongside Jennifer Bunney in a reality series revolving around their lives. “I don’t know if Heidi wants to be involved in reality TV at the moment with everything going on in her personal life,” Bunney said.
