Spitzer Girl May Have Been Underage Girl Gone Wild
Ashley Dupre was filmed naked on the Girls Gone Wild bus between March 13 and March 20, 2003. Her lawyer, Don Buchwald, told TMZ her birthday was April 30, 1985, making her 17.
Girls Gone Wild chieftain Joe Francis said even though Girls Gone Wild has a strict policy of not using girls under 18, Florida and Federal law permit 17-year-olds to be filmed in a stage of undress as long as there is consent and no sexual contact.
According to a Girls Gone Wild press release, Dupre visited Miami in 2003 to celebrate her 18th birthday. A fight with a friend got her thrown out of her hotel. Dupre found a nearby Girls Gone Wild bus, the company said. She signed legal papers and spent a full week on the bus, filming seven full-length tapes, which included nudity and same-sex encounters, according to the company.
"I personally ended up buying her a Greyhound bus ticket back home to North Carolina," Francis told the AP.
In a statement to TMZ, Francis said that Girls Gone Wild will "delay the release of Ms. Dupre's nude footage on the Internet and are investigating the matter."
The New York Times identified "Kristen," the prostitute who caused New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to resign, as Dupre. Dupre, an escort for the Emperor's club, was described as, "An American Petite, very pretty brunette, 5' 5" tall and 105 pounds." She charged $1,000 an hour for her services, according to the New York Times.
Francis reached out to Dupre, now 22, with a $1 million offer to pose non-nude in a company magazine and a chance to be on the Girls Gone Wild tour bus. But, somebody had a revelation and checked the archives.
"It'll save me a million bucks," Francis told the Associated Press on Tuesday. "It's kind of like finding a winning lottery ticket under your couch."
The deal is off, according to Francis.
