Spokeswoman denies Marie Osmond suicide report
Singer was in the hospital because of reaction to medication
A spokeswoman for Marie Osmond denied a report the singer had tried to commit suicide, saying she was hospitalized as a reaction to medication.
"She basically had an adverse reaction to some medication she was taking and she blacked out," spokeswoman Amy Hawkes told The Associated Press.
Osmond spent a couple of days in a Utah hospital to treat the reaction to the medication, according to the AP. The National Enquirer reported she was hospitalized as the result of a failed suicide attempt.
"We deal with those tabloids all the time," Karl Engemann, Osmond's manager told the AP. "You get tired of responding. It's like punching Jell-O."
"She's doing fine. She's vacationing with her family right now," Hawkes said.
