Starr gets Star

Paul McCartney remains the only Beatle to not be honored.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame welcomed a new member to its ranks Monday night.

Ringo Starr, the famed Beatles drummer, was given the honor of his own star, located near those of his late band mates George Harrison and John Lennon.

According to Hispanic Business.com, the ceremony, which took place at night at Starr’s request, featured speeches from fellow rockers Joe Walsh, Ben Harper and Don Was.

Paul McCartney now remains as the lone Beatle to not have a star on the Walk of Fame. In April, he dedicated a star to Harrison. Starr was absent from that ceremony, reportedly asking where his star was.
However, Starr did make a shout-out to McCartney at Monday night’s ceremony.

Referring to Harrison and Lennon at first, Starr said, “I love them both, and I want to send peace and love to both of them. And let’s not forget the guy who’s in England—Paul.”
