Stars Hit the Catwalk at Fashion Week

During Fashion Week in NYC, celebrities hit the runway wearing red dresses to raise awareness for heart disease, in a special charity event. Among the celebrities was Angela Bassett wearing Designer Carmen Marc Valvo. The Heart Truth Show has now become an annual event and is part of the Red Dress project, a creation directed by First Lady Laura Bush to raise awareness for heart disease and its prevention.

Other celebrity models included Kelly Ripa, Laura Hutton and Kim Cattrall. Cattrall wore a one-shoulder goddess dress by Caroline Herrera while television host, Rachael Ray, wore Donna Karan and actress Marlee Matlin donned a strapless gown by Douglas Hannant.

Miss Universe, Zuleyka Rivera reportedly was sporting a bold Gustavo Cadile red dress and First Lady Laura Bush showed up in a crimson Bill Blass skirt suit. Even race-car driver Danica Patrick attended the event in a short-sleeve gown by Jovovich-Hawk.

More Fashion Week showings will introduce styles from Ralph Lauren, BCBG Max Azria, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, John Bartlett and Perry Ellis.
