Stars Wardrobes Dazzle At BAFTAs

it's time to have our "Bafta Fashion Awards" of 2009.

Sunday's BAFTA Awards brought out the best of the United Kingdom. Some celebrities shined as they collected their awards, while others left us wondering "what were they thinking?"

The red carpet sparkled through the brilliance of the Hollywood stars and their enormous amount of Chopard, Tiffany and Cartier diamonds that the stunning ladies have worn under the music of the rain.

Kate Winslet who was the big winner of the night was awarded as the Best Leading Actress for her role in "The Reader". She made the surprise and won also our "style" respect with a maxi mermaid black gown with a deep cleavage cut from the American designer Zac Posen. Winslet wore it with Chopard diamond earrings worth more than 1 million pounds.

Penelope Cruz received her BAFTA Award for the Best Supporting actress in "Vicky Christina Barcelona", in a velvet v-neck black dress from Azzedine Alaia with amazing Chopard diamonds.

Angelina Jolie tried to give a more modern touch on the red carpet, wearing a strapless satin pencil dress with some yellow hints from Giorgio Armani's Prive collection. She topped it with killer heels. At the same time Brad Pitt magnetized all the looks with his charm and his lovely suit from Tom Ford. He was one of the best-dressed men of the night.

Sharon Stone made the most sexy-chick appearance in the British Awards with a powerful John Galliano red strapless slink avoiding the classic black dress. Freida Pinto, the "Slumdog Millionaire" star, arrived in her pretty pale pink ruffles from Oscar de la Renta. Young actress, Emma Watson, changed her love for Chanel Couture by wearing a Temperley London dress of the British design Alice Temperley.

On the other hand, actress Thandie Newton chose a vintage strapless black and gold gown, and Goldie Hawn went with a black maxi satin Dolce & Gabbana that were definitely not among the hottest and stunning appearances of the night. Mickey Rourke's appearance in Dolce & Gabbana, with an open-necked black shirt, chains, black glasses and a messy hair look was a bit disappointing as he won the Best Leading Actor Award for "The Wrestler".
