Garrison Keillor is recuperating from a minor stroke at the Mayo Clinic and is expected to be released on Friday.
Garrison Keillor is recovering nicely after suffering a minor stroke Monday evening. A spokesperson for the Mayo Clinic's St. Mary Hospital said that the revered radio host is "up and moving around, speaking sensibly, working at a laptop".
Keillor,67,spoke to his fans from the hospital through his St.Paul radio show saying that he feels well-cared for at the Mayo Clinic and he is ready to start working again. In fact, Keillor also added that he has his laptop with him in the hospital and is working on the highly-anticipated "Lake Woebegon" screenplay.
The Minnesota humorist has had a history of heart trouble and underwent open-heart surgery in 2001. But the experts are optimistic and he is expected to be released on Friday.
