Step Aside Jon and Kate Plus 8: Octomom Has You Beat!

Octomom Nadya Suleman's two-hour special is to be aired August 19 on Fox.

Tired of "Jon & Kate Plus 8"? Looking to up the intensity to a higher level? Wait no longer! Nadya "Octomom" Suleman, the 33-year-old mother who gave birth to octuplets in January 2009, has signed a deal with Fox to air a two-hour special on August 19 called "Octomom: The Incredible Unseen Footage." The single mother, who already had six young children prior to the birth of her octuplets in January, conceived all of her children through in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Critics have publically called Suleman's decision to continue with IVF treatment, despite her status as a single mother of six, selfish. Publicity stunts by Suleman, such as the release of video shoots of her 14 children, have earned the attention of child-labor activists, who filed suit against Suleman in July.

"Octomom: The Incredible Unseen Footage" will fill the August 19 "So You Think You Can Dance" schedule void. The special will feature private footage of the children and interviews with Suleman family members taken over a seven month period by Radar Online, an online entertainment magazine. Last month, Radar Online was cited by state labor officials for not having an entertainment permit, not having a studio teacher for the Suleman children on site, and for shooting footage of the children for more hours than legally allowed.
