Stephenie Meyer To Appear on Oprah

Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer is set to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Meyer will appear on The Oprah Winfrey show for her only interview regarding the release of the much awaited film New Moon.

On her Web site homepage Meyer announced the interview with Oprah will be the only television appearance she will make regarding the film New Moon, which she wants to talk about because the director, Chris Weitz, amazed her and she is thrilled with the outcome of the movie.

In order to show support for Weitz film Meyer will appear on Oprah on Friday and plans on addressing questions designed for the broader audience not just the Twilight fans.

The movie is the second release of the Twilight series written by Meyer. The first film was released in 2008 and was directed by Catherine Hardwick, the film won 19 awards and received 4 more nominations.
