Steve-O Hurts Himself in Rehearsal
According to USA Today, Stephen Glover, also known to fans of MTV's Jackass as "Steve-O," was unable to continue competing on this week's Dancing with the Stars. Glover was suffering from back pain and thought he could dance through it. He was unable to compete on Monday's episode.
Judges were able to watch a taped dress rehearsal instead of a live performance. Host Tom Bergeron said this was legal according to the rules of the show.
Glover injured himself when he did a flip and landed on the microphone pack attached to his lower back. He did another move backstage which aggravated the injury further.
Glover's dance partner, Lacey Schwimmer, said, "He was so bummed out going in the ambulance today. Nothing's broken, but there are plenty of other things that could be wrong."
The routine earned Glover a score of 14, which is a low for him. However, it still places him ahead of Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
