Steven Spielberg to Direct "Harvey"
It is safe to say that this classic filmmaker can remake a classic! Steven Spielberg is currently preparing to remake the James Stewart version of "Harvey," a film about a man who has an imaginary rabbit friend. No actors or actresses have yet been contacted with roles, according to E! Online.
The Hollywood Reporter states that Dreamworks Pictures and 20th Century Fox will produce the film. When "Harvey" first made it to the silver screen, it had been adapted from a play. The screenplay of this version will be written by novelist Jonathan Tropper, who incidentally puts out a new book titled, "This is Where I Leave You" this month.
Tom Hanks will definitely be considered for a lead role because he has worked with Spielberg in previous films such as "Saving Private Ryan" and "Catch Me if You Can."
The filming of "Harvey" will start at the beginning of next year.
