Even Steven Spielberg has new dreams. The extremely decorated filmmaker is currently working as an executive producer of Smash, a Broadway musical drama for NBC. Now it seems as though Spielberg has a new dream, to work on a movie musical production.
CNN.com reported that in an recent interview Spielberg said he would love to craft a musical.
In the interview Spielberg said, that he loved the classic Hollywood musicals and he would like to make a film in that style. The style being an old musical, the type of musical when the characters talk to each other and then burst into song.
Spielberg said he hasn’t found the right material to create this type of musical but he is still looking for the right piece to create this film.
Spielberg also dropped some news in regards to the Jurassic Park film franchise. The director said that there will be another Jurassic Park; the filmmakers are currently trying to figure out the right storyline but Spielberg assured fans that there would be a another Jurassic Park.
KCRA reported that fans will be able to see Spielberg’s latest work in theaters on December 21st, when his feature film, The Adventures of Tintin opens. The Adventures of Tintin will be Spielberg’s first film to be filmed and shown in 3-D.
