Steven Tyler Breaks Shoulder, Recieves Stitches

Tyler to be examined by his personal doctor.

Steven Tyler of Aerosmith has reportedly broken his shoulder and received some stitches in his head after falling off the stage during a concert in Sturgis, South Dakota.

According to Rolling Stone, Billie Perry, the wife of Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry, said on Twitter that he received stitches in his head and back near his broken shoulder. The band's concert tonight at Winnipeg has been postponed.

After the sound system failed on Wednesday in South Dakota, Tyler began dancing to entertain the crowd, the BBC reports. He was on the catwalk when he accidentally fell backward onto a couple of fans. The concert then ended and he was airlifted to the hospital. The Boston Herald reports that he will be back in Boston before any more gigs to be checked out by his own doctor.

Aerosmith came to fame in the 70's with their smash hit albums, "Toys in the Attic" and "Rocks."
