Steven Tyler injured during concert
Lead singer of Aerosmith, Steven Tyler, was injured in a fall from the stage while performing in South Dakota. Guitarist, Joe Perry, said that he had not seen Tyler's fall during the performance of "Love in an Elevator."
Perry told the Associated Press, "I've seen it a thousand times, him dancing or just twirling around, doing a summersault, he's really agile. . . . It's stuff that could happen to anybody."
The 61-year-old singer had not long before been recovering from pneumonia and another accident in which he injured his leg. Billie Perry, Joe's wife, informed MTV that "he hit his head and back. . . ." Currently, the other band members are left to ponder whether or not the tour will continue. As of August 7, the band's show in Winnipeg is cancelled. For now it is hard to say what will become of the rest of the tour, but friends and fans alike are wishing Tyler a quick recovery.
