Steven Tyler Not Leaving Aerosmith

In a surprise reunion at New York's Irving Plaza during guitarist Joe Perry's solo endeavor, Steven Tyler announced and MTV reported, "New York, I want you to know I'm not leaving Aerosmith."

Whether the band has patched up their relationship is still in question. Before they launched into Walk This Way, Tyler told his band mate of 40 years, "You are a man of many colors, but I am the Rainbow!"

Last week Perry told the Las Vegas Sun, "Steven quit as far as I can tell" and the band was looking for a new singer. Tyler for several months had traveled separately from the rest of the band and kept a private dressing room from the rest of the band. The band would only see him on stage.

Tyler told MTV "There is absolutely no validity to the rumor that Aerosmith is breaking up, mother----er!"
