Sting Joins "Guitar Hero: World Tour"

Sting just wrapped his world tour with the Police.

Sting, who's made boat-loads of money and fans over the past decade with a huge amount of success in the soft-rock genre, will join the Guitar Hero empire in its next game.

The British rocker will lend his image, and songs, to the game's new Guitar Hero: World Tour. This incarnation will receive much stiffer competition from the likes of Rock Band 2, which boasts a much larger sound catalogue and formerly bested Guitar Hero because the game allowed players to sing and play drums.

But this time around, Guitar Hero: World Tour will add on both drums and the microphone to bring the two games into a relatively similar playing field.

But this is where the likes of Sting (and Aerosmith, and Metallica, who both have their own incarnation of the game in the works) come into play. Players will either be able to play as Sting or jam with him on the song, "Demolition Man."

Guitar Hero: World Tour will also allow players to make their own songs by manipulating editing software.

The game, along with Rock Band 2 will be released this fall.
