Straight 'Office Space' Star Sues for 'Gay' Libel
He romanced Jennifer Aniston, made Sarah Jessica Parker swoon, and received a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of an American GI. Even still, that’s not enough to dissuade one, anonymous malcontent that actor Ron Livingston cannot be gay.
Frustrated by the unwelcome edits to his Wikipedia page, Livingston has launched a lawsuit in L.A. Superior County Court against the unidentified suspect for proclaiming he and Lee Dennison, another man, are in a long-term relationship.
Most widely-recognized for his roles in Office Space, Sex and the City and the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, Livingston married actress Rosemarie Dewitt last November after the two co-stars met during the short-lived, FOX TV series Standoff.
However, this hasn’t deterred “the Wiki-hacking [that] began back in May,” TMZ.com reported.
“Every time Ron’s reps remove the false info from his Wiki page ... the bandit changes them back almost immediately.”
It has also been alleged by Livingston, for TMZ staff, that the culprit also created bogus Facebook accounts identifying the pair as being “in a relationship.”
In retaliation, Livingston has decided to sue for libel, although the damages for alleged “gayness” are unspecified.
