Casey Anthony, the mother who was acquitted in the murder trial of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, has been offered a job by a Port St. Lucie, FL area strip club.
General Manager of the Body Talk bar, Doug Devlin, spoke to CBS 12, telling the station that he put a sign up that reads, “Hey Casey We Are Hiring.”
"Some are positive, some are like are you kidding me? I started hearing the gossip around town and I'm like, whoa really? I wanted to welcome her to our city, as a bit of joke," Delvin told the station.
UPI reports that Delvin also spoke to Orlando’s WDBO-AM, saying that the sign started as a joke, but he would seriously consider hiring Anthony if she walked in to his bar. "If she wanted to come in and apply for a job, I would look at her like everybody else," Delvin said.
Delvin’s offer comes shortly after People magazine published a story that Anthony had moved to Port St. Lucie, according to TCPalm.com. The site reports that Outrage: The Casey Anthony Story author Steve Helling wrote that he knows that Anthony is in that area of Florida, although he did not write how he came across this information. A resident of the area spoke to TCPalm.com, claiming to have seen Anthony on the street.
Anthony had been acquitted of murder charges in July when a jury found her not guilty. She had stayed out of the public eye, until a video diary by her had surfaced on YouTube earlier this month.
