Suge Knight Shot In Miami

Marion "Suge" Knight, founder of Death Row Records, was shot in the leg early Sunday morning and taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center for treatment. His condition was not life threatening, police said.

Knight, 40, was at the Shore Club in Miami Beach at a party hosted by Kanye West when the shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m., reports the Miami Herald.

Witnesses told the Miami Herald that Knight was sitting at a table with friends when a man in a hooded sweatshirt walked up to him and fired at least two shots. No others were harmed. Police made no arrests and had no suspects at the time.

The shooting precedes the MTV Video Music Awards, scheduled for Sunday night, which brought artists, musicians and others in the industry into Miami to celebrate their accomplishments
