Suicide is Suspected in DJ AM's Death

After police found nine OxyContin pills in Adam Goldstein's body, a law enforcement source told People that suicide could not be ruled out as a cause of death.

Suicide is a possible cause of DJ AM's death last week according to one law-enforcement source.

The official told People that Adam Goldstein, who is also known as "DJ AM" had eight undigested OxyContin pills in his stomach and one in his mouth when police found him dead in his Manhattan apartment.

"He wanted to die," said the source to People, "He was going unconscious when he took the last one. He didn't even swallow it." Police also found a Valentine's Day card from Goldstein's ex-girlfriend Haley Wood and several pictures of Wood and Goldstein lying on top of the DJ's laptop in the living room.

In addition, Goldstein appeared to have blockaded himself in his bedroom as police had to remove two mirrors—one propped up against the outside of the apartment and another one that was up against the bedroom door.

Friends close to Goldstein have expressed disbelief that the DJ and club-owner's untimely death at age 36 was a suicide.
