Sundance Film Festival Announces 2010 Lineup
The organizers behind Sundance Film Festival announced the 113 films selected to compete at the festival today. The films come from over 38 countries and they will all try to win the top awards in the U.S. and world dramatic and documentary categories.The Sundance Film Festival will run from January 21-31 in multiple cities in Utah, including: Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance.
Some of the filmmakers that will show their films this year are actors Josh Radnor ("happythankyoumoreplease") and Mark Ruffalo ("Sympathy For Delicious") and director Davis Guggenheim ("Waiting for Superman").
Some of the actors that will appear in Sundance films include Kristen Stewart ("Welcome to the Rileys"), James Franco ("Howl"), Orlando Bloom ("Sympathy for Delicious"), Ryan Gosling ("Blue Valentine"), and Natalie Portman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt ("Hesher").
This year there will be a new section that will be devoted to no-budget and low-budget films. Along with new sections, there will be a new director of the festival: John Cooper. Before becoming director, Cooper was the festival's director of creative development and director of programming.
