Survivor Samoa: Wake Up Foa Foa!

I bet this Survivor cast, and more specifically the members of Foa Foa, are kicking themselves as they watch each episode unfold from home. After all they're only now realizing how much Russell played them.

So what did he do now? Aside from the usual lies nothing major. The bigger question should be why can't anyone else see through him? Why swear allegiance to this devious guy and turn on one other? Don't you realize you're doing Russell's dirty work? He says one thing and the rest of you scramble to make it happen. How ridiculous will you all feel at the reunion when all this comes out in the open? How foolish will you look if he coasts along further undetected?

OK enough of that- on with the recap.

Foa Foa is still losing challenges. And we don't know much about the other tribe, Galu, except that they're dominating this competition. For all of the five minutes they were featured we saw the youngest members of Galu practicing yoga while sitting atop palm fronds much to Shambo's disgust. The mullet-haired ex-Marine was left to do the chores around camp since she obviously does not fit in with the rest of the group.

In spite of this Galu knows how to come together to win contests. Tonight's challenge was for a combined reward/immunity. Galu won and chose pillows, towels and comfort items over a tarp and other camping supplies. Leader Russell (the good one) explained he did this to "keep the women happy." He also chose Shambo to observe Foa Foa for a few days.

Unlike Yasmin, Shambo brought a more positive energy to the fold. She also tried looking for the hidden immunity idol which evil Russell found last week. In the meantime, he campaigned to vote out Ashley instead of Ben. Jaison though was not having it. He called out Ben at tribal council for the racial comments he made about Yasmin and his overall negativity toward the tribe as a whole. This led to a unanimous vote for Ben.

Finally, a note to the show's editing team: you guys are just plain evil! Why get the audience's hopes up that Foa Foa is mounting an offense against Russell when in reality they're dwindling away to nothing because of him?
