Survivor's 5 Most Memorable Players

'Survivor' celebrates 20 seasons, and we look back on a few of the most memorable contestants.

'Survivor' 10th Anniversary Party

Ten years ago, host Jeff Probst put out the first torch on Survivor and kicked someone out of the tribe, and he still doing it today. The twentieth season of Survivor is about to kick-off and will call back some of the most loved and hated cast members from previous seasons. The premise of the show is "heroes vs. villains" so here's a list of some of the most memorable people to ever play the game, good and bad.

Richard Hatch

Hatch created the first ever alliance during his time on the show which helped take him to the final and the $1 million prize, despite ruffling a few feathers by spending most of his time in the nude. No Survivor fan could ever forget the now legendary speech that Susan Hawk gave at the final voting ceremony comparing him and fellow finalist Kelly Wigglesworth to a snake and a rat.

Jonny "Fairplay" Dalton

Fast forward a couple of years to season seven, Survivor: Pearl Islands, and the world got introduced to perhaps the most devious person to play the game: Jon Dalton, better known as Jonny Fairplay. Fairplay went down in infamy as being the contestant that lied and said his grandmother had died to garner sympathy.

Jerri Manthey

Although Manthey may not be as manipulating or devious as some of the other contestants labeled villains over the year, she isn't liked. During the reunion show for the Survivor: All-Stars she was booed off stage by thousands of audience members.

Rupert Boneham

Boneham competed in Survivor: Pearl Islands, as well as Survivor: All-Star. He is such a fan favorite, that America voted to award him a million dollars in the "America Votes" contest during the reunion show for the All-Stars cast.

Yau-Man Chan

Chan did not use brute force but rather charm and intelligence to make it to the final four of Survivor: Fiji. He probably would have gone further if he was not betrayed by another player he had made a deal with. And although he didn't win, he was voted the favorite player from that season.
