The "Britain's Got Talent" real-life Cinderella story, Susan Boyle, is racking up record sales with her new album "I Dreamed a Dream."

According to USA Today, the album sold 701,000 copies its first week, making it the biggest sales week of 2009. "I Dreamed a Dream" was released Nov. 23 and has been selling strong ever since.

Boyle, who is 48, was just a church volunteer living with her cat in Scotland before she created world-wide buzz after appearing on the UK show "Britain's Got Talent." Videos of her singing "I Dreamed a Dream" and "Cry Me a River" broke records on YouTube.

According to the article, her exposure via YouTube as well as the fact that Boyle's older fans aren't as likely to download her singles digitally are leading factors in her high sales numbers.
